How do I become certified to teach Metabolic Effect?
To become a certified Metabolic Effect Group instructor you will first need to participate in an in-person seminar or take our online course. Click here for a list of available courses. Once you have completed the course you will take a written test AND submit a video practical workout to become certified. The first attempt at these is covered in the cost of your seminar, additional attempts are $50. Approximately 85% of our participants pass on the first attempt.
Once you are certified you are licensed for 1 year as an independent contractor. You may advertise yourself as a Metabolic Effect Certified Instructor, teach the program at any location (subject to approval) and charge any amount for your classes.
Are there any prerequisites for getting certified in Metabolic Effect?
Metabolic Effect is considered an advanced certification and some background in personal training, group exercise, or athletic conditioning will be extremely helpful. However, we only require that you are 18 years of age and hold a current CPR/AED certification.
I would like to host a Metabolic Effect training seminar. How do I do this?

After I sign up for a Metabolic Effect training seminar, what happens next?
After you have completed your purchase on our site you will receive 2 emails. The first is your receipt for purchase and the second is the welcome email for the seminar. If you do not see it in your inbox make sure you check your spam or junk folder as well. We use email to communicate information about your seminar and it is extremely important that you add metaboliceffect.com to your safe senders list. We do not sell, share, or spam you.
Is there an exam to become certified with Metabolic Effect?
Metabolic Effect certification requires 2 tests after completing a seminar. The first is a written test covering the material you learn in the seminar. The second is a video practical of you teaching a full 30 minute Metabolic Effect workout. Everything you need to know to pass these tests is included in the seminar.
Once I am certified, how do I license Metabolic Effect?
Once you are certified, you are licensed to deliver the class for a period of one year. As a leader in the fitness and fat-loss lifestyle education industry, Metabolic Effect prides itself in only licensing the highest quality instructors and expect them to stay current in their knowledge of the fat-loss lifestyle and Metabolic Effect tools and techniques. As such, prior to your certification expiring you must renew your certification through participating in one of our Metabolic Effect Continuing Education programs or renewing your instructor license.
What is included in the instructor license?
In addition to allowing you to teach the Metabolic Effect workout at any location and advertise yourself as a Metabolic Effect instructor, the Metabolic Effect Instructor License gives you everything you need to get started and help you grow your Metabolic Effect business.

- License-free music. We require that you use a certain type of music and as a member it's included. Just download and play.
- 5 professionally designed marketing materials per month. Included to help you build your Metabolic Effect business and educate your clients. These are the only licensed Metabolic Effect marketing materials.
- Affiliate status through the Metabolic Effect web site. Earn up to 20% on sales attributed to you through our site!
How much does the instructor license cost?
The cost of the Metabolic Effect Instructor License is much less than the benefit it provides at only US $30 per month or get 2 months free by paying $300 for the year. The cost of marketing materials and music alone are worth that, not to mention the ability to earn money through our affiliate program by promoting the Metabolic Effect brand.
What if I want to cancel my instructor license?
If you chose to pay your license monthly, you can cancel your membership with 30 days notice, however your license will end when your membership ends and you will no longer be certified to deliver the Metabolic Effect and all benefits will cease.

My certification has expired and I would like to begin teaching again, what do I need to do?

You will receive .7 ACE CECs for the Metabolic Effect Group instructor seminar.
