Rest-based training (RBT)- The proprietary rest focused exercise approach created by Metabolic Effect to bring high intensity training to the masses. Rest-based training has 5 key attributes designed to maximize metabolic advantage

R-E-S-T acronym:
  • Rest Focused- Rest is used strategically to maximize work.
  • Extrinsic motivation- Motivational tools and techniques that focus clients on what they are doing not what they are  feeling.
  • Self-determined- Exercisers control how hard to work, when to rest and for how long. Giving exercisers control leads to greater intensity and better results.
  • Time conscious- Duration is an inhibitor of exercise intensity and leads to passing. RBT workouts focus on extreme efficiency for better results.
