The ME online certification process includes access to a series of online videos through www.metaboliceffect.com for a period of 90 days, written study materials in Adobe PDF format, an online 50 question exam, and a final video practical exam.
The video practical exam is submitted to Metabolic Effect by one of two methods:
- By mail in DVD format
- Online, using a free file sharing service such as yousendit.com
In either case your submission becomes the property of Metabolic Effect.
If successful in passing both exams, the trainee will be awarded the ME Indoor Group Personal Trainer certification (ME-GPT) and be eligible to teach the workout wherever they choose for a period of 1 year. If you do not pass on your first attempt, you will be given the opportunity to submit your exam within 30 days for a fee of $50.

The Metabolic Effect Indoor Group Personal Trainer (ME-GPT) certification is open to
qualified personal trainers and group exercise instructors only. In order to be eligible to attempt certification you must provide a copy of a valid picture ID, a copy of a valid CPR/first aid certification, as well as a completed, signed, and notarized copy of the
Metabolic Effect Non-Compete/Non-Disclosure agreement (download). You may fax them to us at 877-886-3348.
These documents must be received by Metabolic Effect before we will grant access to the online training materials. Once your documentation is received and approved you will be notified by email and granted access to the online materials.
Please be advised, this is an advanced level certification. A national level personal training or group exercise certification (ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, AFAA, NFPT, ISSA, etc.) or similar experience is strongly recommended.
It is important to understand, paying and registering for this program does not guarantee a passing grade or certification. It is the student's responsibility to create/produce the practical exam in a format that is viewable by the Metabolic Effect Staff on a standard DVD player or computer.

There will be no refunds available once course work access has been given. There is a $50 cancellation fee if your materials are insufficient or you cancel prior to coursework access.
