How to Become an Instructor of Metabolic Effect

Attend a Metabolic Effect Instructor Training and learn how to effectively present and teach the most cutting-edge fitness class around.
Teaching Metabolic Effect requires the know-how of a traditional group fitness instructor as well as the hands-on knowledge of a personal trainer. ME merges both into the first high-intensity “group personal training” class.  Through ME’s Instructor Training, each candidate will leave feeling confident in his or her knowledge of why it works and how to effectively get participants to push their limits safely. The class contains both science-based lecture and practical portions.

The concept behind teaching ME is creating the “personal training feel” for each individual participant.  Instructors learn to tap into the individual needs of participants though advanced motivational techniques, the use of the Metabolic Exertion Scale (MES), and by honing the natural intuitive skills of a trainer.
ME training is the original controlled-intensity exercise class delivering just the right intensity to every fitness level.

The 2-day training includes an 8-hour class led by one or more ME Masters Level Trainers and includes a ME Master Class and overview of the following:

• Metabolic Effect History & Philosophy

• The Science behind ME

• Personal Trainer Techniques: Hybrids, Compounds & Plyometrics

• Metabolic Exertion Score & Controlled-Intensity Exercise

• Cueing Failure and Generating the Metabolic Effect

• Motivational Techniques & Creation of “Personal Training Feel”

• Class Format and Music Selection

• Continuing Education and Growth within the Company

The second day consists of individual auditions and written exams.  The Metabolic Effect Group Fitness Instructor certification represents the very latest technologies to emerge from both the group fitness and personal training worlds. Certification means participants will be uniquely qualified in the science and application of the newest concepts in personal training, endocrinology, group fitness, motivational techniques, and strength and conditioning research.
